The Custom Process

MLR designs and develops handcrafted jewellery that sparks conversation. It is this mission which has led to the birth of the most treasured gem within the MLR studio; our custom design service. Marie-Lauren fiercely advocates for collaboration and the creation of bespoke pieces - after all, it’s where the real magic happens.

Committed to capturing your vision, story and desired outcome, Marie-Lauren imparts her personality and soul into these high-quality custom keepsakes. Our service is driven by artistic excellence and considered design, allowing bling-lovers to immerse themselves in the process and create a truly unique MLR piece of their own.

Here’s the exciting part. Before getting in touch with us, please make sure to gather any references and inspiration for the piece you’d like to create using the MLR site, web links, photos, sketches, etc.

We can source the stones for you, or if you’d like to include some of your own, we’re happy to incorporate them into your piece.

You can choose from any metal, including sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. Once we have all of this useful info on hand, we'll collaborate with you on a design and follow up with a proposal. 

Your proposal will include designs, costs, and our terms and conditions. If you’re happy to proceed and agree with the proposal and terms, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before any work commences. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due for payment upon completion.

Once your custom piece is ready, we will email you photographs, along with an invoice for the outstanding balance due.
